Here it was December already. I had been recovering from my surgery for about 3 weeks. So far all was going well. I was still bloated and was having internal issues due to my large fibroid. My OBGYN sent me to see a specialist. This doctor was simply amazing. He put me at ease immediately. He even drew up a plan of action for what was to hopefully take place within the next 6 months. First on the agenda was to get the fibroid out. So we booked that surgery for a few days after Christmas. I knew I wanted to get it taken care of quickly since I was on Holiday Break from school. On December 28, 2012, I went in for my 2nd surgery with all parties being aware of my choking issue from before.
My dear mother even came into town to take care of me while Moussa was at work for the first week.
Upon waking from my surgery I was doing pretty well. NO choking or breathing issues at all. Once I was aware of what was going on they all explained to me that the doctor removed my large fibroid as well as a 2nd smaller one. He also removed scar tissue from around my ovary and the end of my remaining fallopan tube. This procedure was done by the Da Vinci robot. Very accurate and precise. The doctor told my husband and mother that he was able to suture up my uterus to where I would be able to carry a future baby with no issues.
I said I was ready to go home about 11:30p.m. that night even against my husband's wishes. After a very intense car ride I ended up getting very sick immediately due to the anesthesia. That went on about 3 times before Moussa called the ER. They told him it was normal and that I could be sick for 24 hours. Well after the 24 hours did pass I was feeling much better. I was very very sore and tender for several days. I stayed home for a week again. Mending was slow yet steady.
I was so thankful to have my wonderful husband and caring mother around to assist in the smallest of tasks. I was basically useless. What an end to another year.
